Well, I finally got my hard back collectors set ( cardboard trunk should have been wood or at least plastic IMO ) and I started reading GOF. I really love the added stuff cut out of the movie in the first few chapters. The Weasley's showing up in the Dursley's fireplace was classic! I also love how scared Uncle Vernon is of Sirius so Harry can use writting to Sirius as a way to get what he wants LOL.

I am only 4 chapters in as I have only been able to read late at night about a half an hour before I goto bed, but I really like it so far. I did find it odd that Barty Crouch jr. was not with Wormtail and Voldemort at the very start like he was in the movie.

I've seen that collectors set at my local Wal-Mart. It looks nice, but I agree with you. For $126 that trunk should be made of a more substantial material! (Don't take it out in the rain, Kit. It might disintergrate! Laughing )

For a long time, GoF was my favorite book. It is just such a rich book, with so many layers. I also LOVE the scene with the Dursley's and Weasley's! I was sad that it wasn't in the movie. That would have been a great addition to the movie!!

As for the Barty Crouch, Jr, thing. I think the movie makers needed an easy way to add him to the movie, so people would have a sense of who he was once he was "revealed" in the movie.

I am reading GOF now too. The beginning movies didn't leave out as much as this movie did. As always, the book is much better.

I am finally almost done reading this book. It's been great. I have just over 100 pages left and I should finish tonight or tomorrow. I am to the Final Task chapter.
